He worked as a mechanic at Fairport Schools; and retired as Head Mechanic at Victor Central School in September of 2016. He could fix anything, and he would do so for anyone who asked for his help. Jamie designed and built numerous houses and barns for family and friends.

Zimmerman, 35, of Rushville, NY, died at Strong Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, Nov. Born in New Holland, PA, she was the daughter of Isaac and Fannie Zimmerman; and wife of Amos H. She was a member of the Rushville Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference, and was a homemaker. Phyllis' career was one focused on the care of mentally-and physically-disabled individuals through her work at various Finger Lakes-area social service agencies.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are five children, Lanita, Amy Rose, Lisa, Darla and Derlyn Zimmerman, all at home. She taught braille and life skills to the visually-impaired while employed by The Association for the Blind, and provided elder care to patients residing at Canandaigua's Grove Home.
