Count me as one happy customer, of the repair shop but of this sax's manufacturer.-I add a picture of the instrument being played-I have waited almost 2 years to review this product because unless you have played a saxophone for a while you really don't know it's true value and quality (if any).I would say this is one of the best choices if your are looking for a low cost instrument to begin learning to play the saxophone. So, for the price I paid I am happy with what LJ Hutchen has delivered to me.
I thought for a little extra, it would perform as well as the cheapie model but maybe be a step-up. Immediately within a month we noticed the upper B flat key was rubbing and had not been properly aligned. Now the lower D flat key is sticking as well as the G sharp key.
This is a company that cares about it's customers and reputation.
He ensured us that she likely just needed to adjust to the new instrument and to call back in a few weeks if her playing hadn't improved.
I asked about the mouthpiece so many had mentioned in the previous reviews and he told us they had begun manufacturing with a superior mouthpiece based on feedback and we needn't worry. She did adjust and has been playing this in concert band for two years, and last year in jazz band and marching band as well.
I started her on private lessons last week and her new teacher commented that it was a "nice little sax".
